Amelia Rope‘s recipes are hugely inspired by her travels around the world. It was recent experience of the rich Columbian culture that inspired a new range of chocolate coated coffee nibs and cocoa beans. Amelia’s Colombian chocolate range is made using single origin dark chocolate with beans sourced in the Tumaco coast, close to the Ecuador border. The Colombians not only grow and harvest the beans, but also produce the chocolate to coat the nibs, producing them in their local Bogota factory. Amelia is proud to sustainably support the local farming and local economy; an integral part of the Amelia Rope ethos.
The nibs and beans are coated in delicious dark Columbian Fino De Aroma chocolate — a classification given by the International Cocoa Association (only 6% of the worlds cocoa supply has this recognition, making the chocolate as special as it is delicious). I worked with Amelia to design a packaging solution for the new chocolate collection to convey the quality, taste and excellence of the product — exploring paper stocks and print finishes. The packaging was developed to complement the existing range, but which would be fresh and enticing; designed to showcase the chocolates and make your mouth water!
Following the success of the Columbian chocolate range we worked together to design the packaging for the incredibly indulgent Sea Salt Caramel Easter eggs. With alternate colour foils to represent each flavour, the six eggs nestle sweetly in a nest of shredded paper.
