Charity Christmas card designs | 2019

I’m super excited to officially open my Christmas shop full of hand-illustrated cards and totes with all profits to be donated to charity. I’ve chosen Crisis UK where just £28.87 can reserve a place for food, warmth, care and company for somebody without a home this Christmas.

Each year I set myself this little festive project and create my own Christmas card design. It’s an opportunity to make something freely, with no brief, audience or market to consider.

I go a little wild with premium coloured papers and fancy metallic foils. Simply choosing a selection because I really love it, and for that reason only. It’s very indulgent and it’s actually harder than you think without a brief!

I work with some great suppliers from GF Smith, Fedrigoni and Foilco, and everything is always responsibly sourced and fully recyclable.

I’ve never created my cards to make money, and in honesty, I always feel so awkward promoting them across social media (I’m such a cringe saleswoman). So my decision to donate all profits to charity just makes total sense – it gives them a purpose (and a brief 😉) so here I am.

I’ve chosen Crisis because I wanted to support an organisation that does something to help others at Christmas. It’s a season where family time is so precious but I know not everybody is lucky enough to enjoy Christmas as we know it.

A pack of 10 cards is £10 +vat and for full transparency, that’s £4.50 profit from each pack sold on my site. There are four different hand-illustrated foiled card designs and tote bags too!

UPDATE: I’m thrilled to announce we’ve raised £200.75 from my charity Christmas cards and tote sales! That means I’ve been able to reserve 7 places for those without a home this Christmas. They’ll also get access to the education, training and support to help homelessness for good through Crisis’ year-round services.
